Late Night Cargo Run

It's been a while since I posted anything here so I though I should put something up. I took this shot briefly before departing on a late night cargo run a while back. It was actually a pretty dark night but I left the shutter open for a bit and much of the ambient light is actually coming from the flood lights on the ramp. I thought the moonlight through the cirrus layer was interesting though.

I saw this when I was in Santa Fe, New Mexico and thought it would be perfect for this topic. It's not the prettiest picture in the world (all available backgrounds were terrible) but I like the statue. I call it, Gimmie Your Mail!

New Mexico Trip

I flew a trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico over the last three days and took some pictures while I was out there. I also made my first attempt at taking some pictures from inside the jet. I still have to get the hang of what settings to use when doing that.

Recently, I flew a trip to Naples, FL and had a three day layover. While I was there, I went down to the beach to take some photographs. I didn't come back with much except for some photos of this guy. I thought he was pretty cool and must've spent 30 minutes hanging out with him watching him catch fish. He was too busy with lunch to worry about the guy shooting pictures of him.

This photograph, and the others appearing after this one on this site, were taken at Fernwood Botnical Gardens in southwest Michigan over the weekend (7/1/07). This is my first attempt at publicly displaying photography that I've done but as I go on, I think I would be interested in doing more. One thing I would like to know, and if anyone has information regarding this please share, is what steps are involved in having a photograph blown-up into poster format.
